>>>follow along & see more here!<<<Is it a bad thing that tomorrow is the first of June and my wall calendar still has April on it?! I guess things have been non-stop over here to say the least. I feel like I'm starting to sound like a broken record on here but it's true! Life has been moving full steam ahead with a lot of changes and fun new adventures and I guess I'm just trying my best to live in the moment. I have so many things I want to post on here and share with you all like all the great local finds hubs and I have been discovering because I really am trying to fall for LA. Looking back on this month I can happily say I survived my first month at my new job and let me tell you, it wasn't easy! I'm starting to get the hang of things and learning so much it can be overwhelming at times, but I'm up for the challenge. I discovered that if you bake tortillas at 400 degrees fahrenheit they turn all golden and crispy. Load them with all kinds of toppings imaginable and they are delicious! Also they may have become my new go-to for when I'm feeling lazy about cooking (which is often) and hubs is away on business/working late (which is also often). Spring is in the air and the world is blooming around me and I couldn't be more in love with LA right now. The air literally smells of flowers which is a nice change from the usual stink of weed. I am learning to stop and smell the roses (if you will) and also photograph them because well, because I may be addicted to instagram as is evident by this post. This also includes palm trees, succulents, and pretty much all things green and leafy. One of my old college friends just moved to the city of angels and while I never in my wildest dreams would've imagined her out here, I'm so glad she is! Let the catching up during long over due brunches begin! I also squeezed in a fun fashion shoot with farallon, a recently launched line by a dear friend of mine and that was pretty cool. Just us girls having a laugh and being silly on one of the windiest days ever! May has also been filled with a lot of dates with hubs which I always look forward to. It makes my heart so happy that years later, he is still my best friend and I am lucky enough to share this wonderful adventure with him... like enjoying great food, live music, and my first ever outdoor cinema experience with eat.see.hear. May also had me jet setting back to the east coast to witness one of my very best friends get married and he'll probably deny this but you guys, he even choked up and I swear I saw a tear when he was trying to get through his vows. Of course that made me cry but that's not really a surprise now is it? It was such a beautiful wedding and man did we dance our butts off! Another plus, I got to spend some quality time with my family and little k was back in town and I even managed to convince M to come down and party! Note to self... little k, M, and hubs equal trouble in a crazy good way. I must say May was the month of reunions and I think it was the perfect time for it. It was hectic, it was crazy stressful, it was fun! There was a lot of working, a lot of drinking, and not enough sleeping but we'll work on that next month. All I can say is June, bring it!
***Today I am thankful for a wonderful month... May, you were a beaut!***
